The three steps are separate: you clean off the soil first, then sanitize toys and food surfaces, and disinfect diaper areas and restrooms.

What’s the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting in a daycare?

Cleaning removes visible dirt and germs’ hiding places with soap and water. Sanitizing reduces germs to a safe level and is used on toys and food surfaces. Disinfecting kills a broader range of germs and is used on diaper areas, toilets, and high-touch points. The order matters: a disinfectant applied over a dirty surface doesn’t work, so cleaning always comes first.

How often should toys, cots, and diaper areas be cleaned?

Toys that go in children’s mouths get cleaned and sanitized after each child or at least daily; toys that are only handled, weekly. Cots and nap mats are sanitized weekly, between children, and whenever they’re soiled. Diaper-changing surfaces are disinfected after every single change. These frequencies come from the Caring for Our Children standards and the Texas minimum standards, and they’re the schedule we build your checklist from.

What disinfectant do you use in a daycare, and is it safe around children?

We use EPA-registered disinfectants and sanitizers and follow the label, which means keeping the surface wet for the full contact time and reapplying if it dries before that time is up. That contact time is the part that decides whether the product works. A properly diluted bleach-and-water solution is one EPA-recognized option many centers use; whatever the product, it’s applied to the label and rinsed where the label calls for it, on surfaces children use. We don’t market it as “hospital-grade” or “child-safe,” because those are marketing words, not standards.

How do you help us pass a licensing or sanitation inspection?

Two ways. The cleaning itself is built to the standards a Texas inspector uses, Chapter 746 and the Caring for Our Children frequencies, so the work already matches what they check. And every visit is documented the same night, task by task, so when an inspector or a parent asks what was cleaned and when, you hand them a record instead of reconstructing it from memory.

How often should nap linens and bedding be washed in a daycare?

Bedding and nap linens are usually laundered weekly, assigned to one child between washes, and washed right away when soiled. Laundry isn’t part of our standard cleaning scope, and no center has asked us to take it on yet, but we will if yours wants it handled. Raise it at the walkthrough and we’ll price it in.

What does daycare cleaning cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?

There’s no flat rate. Price comes from your square footage and number of rooms, your enrollment and age mix (infant and toddler rooms carry a heavier diapering and sanitizing load), how often we come, the center’s current condition, and any add-ons like carpet extraction. Do you clean preschools and school-based childcare too?

Yes. We clean licensed childcare centers, preschools, and school-based daycare and after-school programs. The scope and frequency shift with the ages served and whether there’s diapering, but the approach is the same: clean to the childcare standard, and document it. We’re commercial only, so we don’t clean in-home daycare.

Do you require a contract?

No. We work month to month. If the cleaning isn’t right, you’re free to leave, which is the point. A company that expects its quality to slip needs a contract to hold onto clients. We’d rather earn the next visit.
